Instrument Donation Program

Donate an instrument. Change a life.

Musicopia’s Gift of Music program collects, repairs and places gently-used band and orchestral instruments in playable and good cosmetic condition in schools with students who are eager to play but cannot afford to rent or buy one. Through this statewide initiative, spearheaded by Musicopia for the Philadelphia region, Musicopia has collected more than 5,800 instruments over the past decade.

*Please note: Only select drop-off locations are accepting donations at this time. Instruments can be donated at WRTI, Calliope Music, Jacobs Music in Doylestown, Mount Airy Violins & Bows, Charles Schwab (Wayne and Yardley), Music Training Center (Ardmore), Plymouth Performing Arts Center, and in South Jersey. For drop-offs in South Jersey, please email GOM@musicopia.net.

To donate an instrument:

1. Download and complete our instrument donation form

2. Bring the instrument(s) to one of our Gift of Music partner drop-off locations

3. Place donation form with instrument at the drop-off location

*Please note: Some of our drop-off locations cannot accommodate large instruments like drum sets, basses, or keyboards. Please contact the location in advance if you are donating a large instrument.  We do not accept pianos, organs or accordions.
