Lullaby Project
The Philadelphia Lullaby Project is a program where caretakers create a special song for their child with professional musicians. Lullabies are recognized as a universal method of parents connecting with children. During the process, parents or family members will also discover new and fun ways to sing, move, and play together during family time. Music and play promote self care and a child's development.
Musicopia is the managing partner of the Lullaby Project in Philadelphia. The program was originally created by Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute and implemented at Jacobi Medical Center in Bronx, NY as a musical intervention to support mothers of newborn children with attachment, psychiatric symptoms, and stress. Now a worldwide program and used in a variety of situations to foster connection, build community, and support early musical and language learning for children, the Lullaby Project continues to flourish.

Here in Philadelphia, the project runs at many local community partner organizations.
