Chester Arts Alive :

Musicopia is a member of this consortium of arts organizations that works together to promote arts and culture in the City of Chester, with an overarching goal of community development.

Elwyn, Inc and the Davidson School at Elwyn :

Founded in 1852, Elwyn has been providing services to people with special needs for over 150 years. Today, Elwyn is nationally recognized as a pioneer in developing groundbreaking programs for children and adults with disabilities and disadvantages. Through this partnership, music is used to facilitate the emotional, cognitive and social development of students with varying abilities.

Philadelphia Arts in Education Partnership :

Working together, we promote learning in and through the arts by connecting artists with schools. This collaborative of teachers, teaching artists, school districts, colleges and universities, and 82 arts and cultural organizations throughout the region works to encourage excellence in arts-in-education practice, and to bring arts-based learning experiences to students who otherwise would have limited access to these opportunities.

Philadelphia Youth Orchestra :

Founded in 1939, the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra has offered the opportunity for gifted and talented students to be involved in extraordinary music education through its orchestra training and performance programs. It is one of the oldest youth orchestras in the country. Its companion ensembles include the Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra, formed in 1996; Bravo Brass, added to the program in 2003; and PRYSM (Philadelphia Region Youth String Music), added in 2007.

The Chester Youth Collaborative (CYC) :

The Chester Youth Collaborative (CYC) works with community leaders, organizations, residents and the youth of Chester to develop specialized programs that meet the needs of youth ages 12-22. The CYC’s vision is a strong Chester community in which all youth reach their full potential and transition successfully to adulthood. The CYC’s efforts are primarily aimed at enhancing the quality, quantity and duration of “out-of-school” youth programs by fostering a neighborhood-based youth development network within the city of Chester. Crozer Keystone Health System’s Wellness Center is the facilitating organization for the Chester Youth Collaborative.

The Picasso Project, Philadelphia Citizens for Children and Youth :

Through advocacy efforts and grant-funded projects, Musicopia works with Picasso to enhance and enrich the integration of the arts into the curriculum and classroom for students in the School District of Philadelphia.
