Teacher Professional Development Overview

As leaders in their field, the musicians on Musicopia’s roster of artists are often asked to conduct professional development sessions for administrators, principals, classroom and music teachers.  On these pages, you will find examples of workshop sessions that our artists frequently present.  However, please feel free to peruse our ensemble descriptions and musicians’ biographies, as there are many other artists on our roster (not listed below) who have the skills and knowledge to conduct educator workshops.  If you have any questions or would like to discuss your needs with Musicopia, please contact our program staff, who can help you choose and ensemble or musician that will help your district, school, and teachers to meet their goals.

Please note that professional development sessions can range from demonstrating musical activities for non-music teachers to include in their classroom, to workshops and opportunities for bringing music to students with varying abilities, to advanced sessions for instrumental instructors.  Please do not hesitate to inquire.
