Juneling is a professional performer of the third generation of “Chao” style guzheng from mainland China. (The guzheng is a traditional, plucked string instrument with movable bridges.) She is also a member of China’s Henan Musician Association; member of the Art of Music Association of China; member of the Chinese Orchestra Music Association; and sits on the judge panel for the Instrumental Music Level Assessment Exam Association in Henan Province, China.

Juneling Wang studies with her father, Wang Chongrui whose guzheng instructor was the famous master of Guzheng, Mr. Chao, Dongfu. Juneling also studied from guzheng masters: Ms. Guifun Chao, Mr. Liang, Yifu and Mr. Zhao, Manqin who is known the creator of the special “super speed” guzheng finger technique. This new guzheng finger technique has become very popular, merging both classical and modern performance practice. Juneling also has created her own unique style and has won numerous awards from Chinese national or international performances and competitions. Juneling is currently a guzheng consultant with Peter Tang’s Chinese Ensemble for the School District of Philadelphia’s Chinese Music Program at McCall, Key and Kirkbride Schools.

Juneling has been on Musicopia’s roster since 2007, performing in the Peter Tang Chinese Ensemble’s Traditional Chinese Music and Instruments assembly.
