  • David won a Grammy in 2004 for best pop instrumental.

David has been performing with oboist Jill Haley for over 20 years.  In their engaging performances they combine elements of jazz, classical and world music. They have performed throughout the country with Windham Hill artist Will Ackerman. They have also been featured on numerous performing arts series, jazz festivals and classical concert series.

David is a Grammy Award Winner for Best Pop Instrumental Recording. In addition, he has released nine CDs on the acoustic guitar label Solid Air Records. A versatile crossover artist from his earliest days, David studied at the Hartt School of Music in Connecticut where he received a degree in Classical Guitar Performance. He currently teaches Kutztown University, Pennsylvania, and is an Artist–in Residence at Elizabethtown College in Lancaster County, PA.

David has been described as “Eclectic . . . Refreshing” by Guitar Player Magazine.  His technique has been referred to as “Ferocious Fingerstyle,” by BillBoard Magazine, and the New York Times has written about his "Jazz, Folk, Blues Superstructures."
