Overview
Musicopia prides itself on strong partnerships with communities. Through our work with local organizations of all kinds–school districts, churches, synagogues, youth groups, arts groups, local merchant associations, and more–we have found that we can successfully rally public support for improved youth music programs both in and outside of schools.
How does Musicopia work with our community partners? Through meetings, through joint festivals, through strategic planning sessions, and through visits to local legislators or other funders. Put simply, our job is to listen to the concerns of local citizens who want to create better opportunities for their children and youth. Then, we find ways to act together to broaden cultural participation for communities throughout the Delaware Valley.
The old adage that there is “strength in numbers” guides our approach to working with community groups of every imaginable type. At Musicopia, we see ourselves as a catalyst for change, and a willing, flexible partner.
